dhw working fine but when switched to heating gives low flame then cuts out ,this continues heaters heat up to low temp ,any ideas ,will faulty pump cause this?

Yes but so will a blocked diverter valve or other blockage in your heating circuit, theres sometimes a filter on the return pipe.walter baggie said:
Check that the pump is spinning and that its on its highest setting if applicable, also that the valves to the flow and return underneath are fully open
There are about three likely possible reasons,
Gas valve minimum setting, CORGI job !
PCB fault, needs proper diagnosis to avoid buying part if not the problem.
Diverter valve jammed in DHw position.
