Biasi boiler intermittent HW

Just had visit this morning by the beasi engineer to solve the above problem.
I thoght he was going traght away to replace the heater exchanger, but he recon that if he put some chemicals to the heating system might solve the problem.
If not he said we need to flash the all system, if so he qouted £500 for 3 rads.
Any feedback on this will be much appreciated

Could be a blocked plate or diverter issue. With the system cold, try running the hot tap and feel the left hand pipe, if it’s heats up that could be the issue. Biasi engineer could also know what he’s talking about.

If so, then they won't replace parts that have failed/blocked due to dirty system.

OK. Then if hex is blocked, changing it will just lead to new one blocking again, if system is dirty. Better to clean first, then change if you can't unblock it.

Is the hot water getting hot, then cold to hot, cycling that way?

The engineer ingected fernox F3 Express and all in working order now.
My question is how long can I keep thernox inside the system, do I empty it and let refill till I get clear watr out or will it need to power flush it?
