We have a Biasi M90E 24S boiler which has been having a few issues.
It has been dripping from the outside pipe for over a year, straight into the drain beneath. Earlier in the week my son was woken by a bang and there was a leak coming from inside it, resulting in water on the kitchen floor. The pipe which was dripping has expelled water all over the back of the house clearly under quite some pressure, so I guess this was what the bang was - it came from the boiler.
A plumber came round and said the filler loop was left open with 3 bar showing on the pressure gauge. Then said the boiler needed replacing at £1650, however he also said it could be repaired but he couldn't do it.
I closed the filler loop, bled the radiators then reopened the filler loop. There was an audible noise of water filling but the pressure gauge did not change at any point.
This morning the leak had stopped but now the boiler doesn't fire up.
The timer has power but there doesn't appear to be power to anything else, the light on the front doesn't light up and its unresponsive to anything other than changing the timer function, which does not result in the boiler operating.
I"ve tried 5 plumbers today but given the cold temperatures the earilest any of them can get to me is Monday afternoon.
Can anyone offer anything to check to help get some heat in the house over the weekend?
