Hi all,
I have central heating but no hot water. That is until the central heating has been off a while and then the water fires up no problem. (As if it waits for the system to be cold) However, when it does I have a strange ticking sound coming from around the diverter. The actuator is working fine as it should. I have attached a video to demonstrate the sound it makes. I was thinking it was simply the diverter valve, I’ve had the flow switch/filter out and cleaned it up I’m just wondering if anyone is familiar with what is making the noise or what the problem could be.
*edit
The ticking noise sounds like it’s coming from the hot water heat exchanger
