I bought a bike rack to fit on my Skoda Octavia (Hatchback). Used it to pick up 2 new bikes from shop, then became a bit paranoid. The whole thing 'pivots' on 2 rubber feet which rest on the glass about 6 inches up from the bottom. 2 clips tuck under the bottom edge of the boot. 2 arms extend to the top edge of the hatch and clip around the edge of the glass. The glass has a rubber protective edge to it but I'm concerned that if I hit a bump the stress might break the glass or pull the whole rear screen away. Have I been sold the wrong type of rack. Or is it ok?

There's no way that you'll pull the rear screen out with your rack - and so long that its been made for and sold by a reputable company I can't see there will be any problems...so long as its loaded according to instructions and the weight limit not exceeded, of course! Cheers John
