blocked waste pipes?

hi

recently when we empty our bath there is a lot of gurgling and water (+ muck) bubbles up out the shower waste. now our other shower is doing the same thing and water is taking a while to drain out the tray.

i assume i have a blockage somewhere. do i need to get a plumber in to rod the pipes or is there something i can do myself?

Nope. One shot from b and q....9 quid.....pour in wait 1 hour and flush clean.

Another option is to look for "rodding eyes", covers that are screwed or clamped over openings at bends.
Be very careful with the chemicals, some of them are extremely aggressive; wear goggles and long rubber gloves, as well as the oldest clothes you have.
