I to am looking at boarding the loft but the insulation is higher than the joists. So what is the answer pack it down or raise it. Sounds like more trouble than it's worth. There must be a proper way of doing this that meets building regulations? Any clues people.

Are you just boarding the loft for storage? or to form a hobby room, a habitable room will need B.Regs approval.

If just for storage either fix timber to the tops of the joists to raise them above the fibreglass or replace the fibreglass with rigid insulation like celotex or kingspan.
