Boiler glitch - no heat in rads or running water

I have an Ideal Classic NF wall hung boiler, a Grundfos 15/50 Circulating Pump and a Honeywell valve.

Boiler is about 8 years old with no problems till now, last service about 14 months ago and it suddenly stopped heating the water the other day. Only the pilot light is working, the main burner light does not engage. It was suggested that the problem might be the gas valve. Can any one help?

yes, try a search for your boiler, wait here is one just like yours, he even has the same name as you, he has the same problem too.
