Hi,

My boiler has started leaking from a weird vertical pipe like bit that is at right angles to the cold water intake pipe. It started quite slowly a few weeks ago but now it is dripping a pint every 2 or three hours!

I don't really know how to explain the bit that it is dripping from so I have taken a couple of photos and have circled the relevant bit. It seems to be dripping out of the bottom of this bit.

Does any body have an idea as to what is wrong and how to fix it?
I was simply going to turn the mains off when I go away this Easter weekend but the big blue "ball" on top has a label that says to be careful when turning the mains water back on and open the "pressure relief valve" - whatever that is!

I'm a young girl in my first flat so any info about how this boiler works/how to use it would be great!

Thanks in advance,
Kate

You need an engineer who is qualified to work on unvented domestic hot water!
