Hello. got some help from you guys a month or so ago and I'm afraid I'm asking again!
Our Excalibur combi boiler was rapidly losing pressure after every heating session. Got British Gas out who recharged the expansion vessel.
Then had to call them out again a week later as the boiler was making a terrible noise (from the evening after their visit) and the pressure release pipe outside was still dripping. They cleaned this out and the boiler is functioning and is quiet with no more drips outside.
However we're still losing pressure after the heating has been on. It drops a couple of points each time and I guess we have to top up once a week. I haven't called them again as I wanted to get some advice on here first.
No leak spots on ceilings and can't see anything around the radiators. We have some exposed pipes in the living and dining room and can't see anything there. Kitchen floor has slate tiles over marine ply (fitted in last 2 years) so it's not an option to rip this up to check for leaks.
Any advice?! Sorry. Is it a leak in the system or does this sound as though it's connected with the earlier problems? Don't want to be fobbed off by BG with 'it's a leak somewhere' if there's another possibility.
Thanks so much. Apologies if it's completely obvious that it's a leak - I'm useless at stuff like this.
