I have removed two radiators (to decorate behind them).

Before removal the pressure read 1.3 bar. I put the heating on and
noiticed the pressure was a little high at 2.5bar.
Next I bled a radiator to relieve some pressure.

Curiously the next day the pressure guage read 2bar again?

It's been stable at two bar ever since. I don't get it. Is the pressure guage faulty?

Can I run the heating at 2.5-3bar?

I am not a plumber or heating engineer, but it sounds like you over filled your system when you put the radiators back. you could always bleed thenm untill the presuure drops down again, but it must be done with the system off.

so long as the gauge does not go into the red you will be o.k

Well, not quite - I have not put the radiators back on yet and it's getting cold (I'm typing this with my coat on!).

Yes, I agree, I can always bleed them again - but why does it go back up afterwards? Any ideas?

presummably because ther is less space for the same volume of water to expand in , now it is 2 radiators "short"
