I have a SIME format C boiler installed but not sure whether I have a problem with the pressure.
The pressure dial shows the following bands....
* 0 to just under 1 (white colour)
* just under 1 to just over 1 (light blue colour)
* Just over 1 to just under 3 (dark Blue colour)
When I fill the system with water the pressure goes up to about 2 and half. Over the next few hours this will gradually drop until eventually it reaches about 0.5 and stays there.
My questions are.....
1. What should the pressure be?
2. Is the initial pressure to high and it is reducing by sending water out the over flow
3. If the pressure is too low, does that mean I have a leak in a pipe somewhere? I've had a look around and there are no obvious signs of a leak which I'd expect with the amount of water I seem to be losing
