yesterday I replaced my old mixer tap in the kitchen with a new one. As per the instructions I installed check valves on both the hot and cold (correct way round!)
All is now ok, however when the cold's been running, and I then turn the cold tap off, there's a sound from the boiler (kind of like a switch, in fact the same noise I first get when I turn on the hot tap before it fires up).
Is this normal, should I be worried, any ideas what it could be ?!
