Boiler sounds like Didgeridoo

Hi Everybody,

Once or twice a day our boiler will make a sound like a didgeridoo.

This lasts about 7 seconds ( yes ive timed it).

Can anyone tell me what the problem might be. And how serious?

one of the worst possible sounds a boiler can make. Not as bad as very loud KABAMMM followed by clouds of smoke though
