Temperature is Rising Too Quickly
when i put the boiler on if will get from 52 to 82 in about 25sec then some times it will do is slower like go to 77 the 76 the 77 then up to 82 and shut off afor 3 min then fires up again

is this normal?? it is a gloworm 18hxi.

i have just drained one for the rads down stairs which was hot at the top and cold at the bottom the pipe in to the rad was hot to touch and cold on the pipe coming out. do you think this is why the temp goes up fast?

many thanks

Posisble thermistor fault..which is a temperature probe connected to your hot water and heating system. If you look in the idiots guide ( no offence ) at the fault finding section of your boiler manual, it will tell you how to test this using a mutimeter (few pounds) worth having one and saves on call out charges. ;)

Sounds like an airlock in your boiler. If it has an air bleed point, somewhere at the top of the boiler, try to see if any air can be released.
