i have a worceseter 24bci BOILER THINK IT WAS FITTED IN 2002 it keeps locking on me it will start and go for a few days then lock up and each time i start it up the pilot light comes on for 4-5 seconds then cuts out it will retry thi 4 times then give up i just cant get it going i got advised to open the inner part of the boiler but is this not dangerous?????? thanks

Opening the boiler section where the burner is, is not a good idea. Apart from that, it is unlikely to show you anything that is obviously faulty.
The boiler locks out due to a safety system being activated, Kev is right, this is probably not a diy job.
