Frantic wife- usually very sensible- rang to say they was a load bang and all the sockets had died.

Traced the fault by unplugging everything, to the 7yr old dishwasher which was not in use and apparently not part of the recall.
I suspect its either the mains lead or the suppressor capacitor(s) from what I have since read.
Any advice- a bit frightening though- isnt that how these fires start?

Happy Christmas, thank heavens for Lidl washing up liquid!

Mike

Most likely to be the mains suppressor, you will need to remove the right hand side panel to get at it.
