Hi everyone

My Bosch dryer motor needs a replacement motor capacitor as it struggles to start up with a full load.

Espares sell a genuine Bosch capacitor for £70!! which is in my opinion ridiculously expensive. Amazon sell a White Knight capacitor which fits my machine for £15.

My question is: why is one so much more expensive? Surely the difference in quality is not that extreme?

Opinions would be appreciated!

Cheers.

Even if the quality of your £15 replacement is not as good quality as the Bosch one as long as the values are the same you can afford to replace it 4 times for the price of the genuine one. Not brainer really.

That's a complete and utter rip for a capacitor, and quality will not be that different. Just the usual stupid mark up for a "name"
