Bosch Hydrosensor dishwasher not draining properly

My dishwasher is left with dirty water at the bottom and won't drain. I've checked the waste pipe and it seems to be clear. I wanted to unscrew the plate at the bottom of the dishwasher to see if there was a blockage there but can't find a screwdriver to get it off. What do I need to get it off or does anyone have any advice for what else I could try? Thanks

Hi - which plate at the bottom are you talking about? If it's the narrow strip under the door it wont't help - it's only for decoration and doesn't cover the pump like it does on many washing machines.
If you mean the small plate at the bottom of the sump inside the D/W it's definitely worth a look. I've had orange pips stuck in the blades of the impeller that stopped it going completely. You'll need a Torx T20 screwdriver.
