Hi,
I'm sure this is a common issue and I have followed other threads in attempting to diagnose and repair the issue.
Symptoms are:
Evaporator in the freezer ices up and the fridge compartment cannot be cooled.
Checks undertaken:
Thawed and removed the heating element and checked the resistance = .242kohms
NTC sensor is 6.67kohms at room temperature of 21c and drops when subjected to heat
Thermal fuse has continuity across the two terminals
Fan runs when the door contacts are overridden
Therefore I'm thinking it's probably the control board that's failed?
