Bosch Logix 1400 Motor problems

Hi - having a problem with our machine, the drum is not turning. all the dials and controls appear to be working OK (can hear pumps turning etc at the right time). Have removed the back, belts OK, but the motor is not turning during operation. When all turned off I can rotate the armature extremely easily (no resistance from brushes pressure). 1] Can I assume that the brushes have worn out. 2] I can see how to remove the motor, a bit concerned about the limited movement in the wiring. Help much appreciated.

undo motor, cut cable tie on the wireing and inspect brushes most prob worn.

Many thanks will get some new brushes anyway and then try. will let you know how I get on.
