The main motor appears to be making a clicking grinding noise when running under power. This is most apparent when spinning and stops when the motor power shuts off at the end of the spin, and the drum is free wheeling.
Sounds like the motor, possibly brushes/armature.
Can I get to the motor by laying the machine on its back, to remove it/check the brushes.
Any tips on where to get a fresh set of brushes?
