Bosch W/M filter hatch stuck

Have you tried warming it with a hair drier or a squirt of wd 40?

I usually drill 2 holes in the broken cap and poke in the jaws of a pair of narrow nosed pliers and turn them. If it turns a small amount then gets stuck there may be something like a coin jamming it inside. In that case you need to remove the filter housing, take off the pump and empty the housing that way before changing the filter cap. You can order the part from Bosch:

Thanks, fidom.

Where can I find the e-number on this washing machine :?

I think it will be on the inside of the door.

thanks, I now have the number off the door
E-Nr WFL 100 GB / 12 FD 8108 600 267
and have looked up the part, it is only about £6 plus whatever postage and handlng they charge. It looks like it is common to lots of similar Bosch washers.

I ordered the part yesterday, and it arrived today, cost about a tenner all in, service seems good.

I just have to bash the old one out now!
