brakes on fiesta 96

hi can anyone help

my fiesta has been sat in my garage for 2 years. tried to move it but it seems that the brakes may be seized can anyone help

I sat in the driving seat and let the car roll and then pressed the brake pedal quite firm and the stopped ok. Then my partner started to push the car back into the garage and then asked me to push the brake pedal and he then carried on trying to push the car back but it stayed firm. We bought the battery in and decided it needed a charge before we attempted to try and start the car but after reading the booklet (the trouble shooting bit) and it said something about if the battery hasn't been used for a while then it could leak something into the battery which would make the battery faulty so we have just bought a new battery.
