It's on last winter that I realised how drafty my windows are. Because of which there was significant heat loss. I am planning to get my windows replace but does that really? Is any solution to avoid breezy windows?

treasa, good evening.

You possibly do not realise it but the Board you have posted on is in the United Kingdom? OK I live in Scotland but we can ignore that.

Suggest that you find a board in Canada? and post there with if possible digital images of the Windows you are having trouble with.

Given the vast differences in the two countries building codes and building practice it would be very risky to supply any advice to assist you.

Best of luck.

Ken.

Yea I do agree on that and when I created this thread, I was not aware of this board either. In fact, I really don't think people are really conscious about these.
There should be some Canadian who would possibly give me a reply :) Lets's just wait.
And breezy windows are not just about Canada, right pal? :) :)

Is it possible that the hinges aren't closing them properly , or any seals are worn. If you can post a pic of any visible gaps or shrunken/damaged gaskets...I'm sure someone will be able to offer some advice
