I'm interested in replacing the cladding on the front of my house with what
I believe are called brick "slips" cladding, the original cladders scored
the underlying brick for keying purposes, hence the need to reclad.
(The original cladding is that horrible yellow Corrie style stuff) Can
anyone point me in the right direction for information on this, or relate
any experience they have had doing this, cost per sq Metre etc.
I have carefully calculated that I need 20 square meters to do my frontage

Thanks
RH

No idea M8........but have you considered rendering it

Rendering is out and a front skin rebuild is also. It's definately brick cladding / slips that are needed. Common guys n gals someone must know something about them.

Well I know about them BUT I think they are for indoor decorative use only.........they are`nt a fired clay brick made thin , in fact I don`t think this is possible

AFAIK the ones you buy at B&Q to go around fireplaces are only for internal use.

However you can buy slips that are actually the face cut of normal external bricks, obviously these are suitable for external use. Any brick could be cut to create a slip. The only useful info I could find was here: http://www.ibstock.com/pdfs/technical-support/brick-slips-fixing.pdf
