Bristan Varispeed 50 shower pump replacement advice

Hi

We need to replace our Bristan Varispeed 50 shower pump which is on its way out. We just need a cost effective alternative that we could ideally replace ourselves. This will only be temporary until a new unvented cylinder is installed in the next few months.

What replacement shower pumps would you recommend that we could replace the varispeed 50 with?

If you want like for like installation, the best bet is to buy another Bristan like your old one.

The Salamander you refer to is not a like for like, although given you have plastic pipework it shouldn't be a very difficult change.
