Central heating works fine, hot water can be normal or luke warm or go cold, no warning as or when

Has been a bit iffy last month or so, being not as warm as it should be when having a shower (but not everytime) but taps downstairs seemed okay, but today very tempremental ... just as the weather gets nice and cold

From what I've read it could be a sticking 3-way valve or just plain faulty 3-way valve, PCB replaced about 8 months ago the last one had the dreaded 3-red lights. New PCB fixed that straight away, and looked much better quality than the old one

Central heating fires up okay everytime but water seems to have a mind of its own, working perfectly normally or running lukewarm/cold

Boiler about 5 years old, did clean out pipe going to pressure vessel when I changed PCB as that was blocked solid with scale causing PRV to blow and dump pressure ... found that after another suggestion before I coughed up for that new PCB last time

Looking at running X400 through system in near future anyway, followed by X100 after flushing as I doubt that was done when fitted after the amount of scale I removed from the pressue vessel supply pipe (pressure vessel was fine and holding air just a badly blocked pipe), along with a few other issues I have sorted not finished by partners ex when he 'renovated' the house and had the central heated fitted

Appears to be a sticking valve, hot water working fine last eveing and shower hot this morning

Went off again when I was downstairs trying to get some hot water to wash up, tried again 2 minutes later and was fine again

Any ideas if you can buy kits for the 3-way valve or take apart to clean what I assume is built up scale and general crud internally

Will try the x400 and x100 in the nest week or so when I have a bit more time to drain some off and pour the x400 into the system. Its a sealed system by the way

They recommend about a week without any damage to get the best results then the x100 after draining the entire system and refilling. Is this the best idea for guaranteed long term results

I have a drain point when I fitted the radiator in the front room, another job unfinished, I had to buy the pipework and drain valve but the radiator was brand new just waiting to be fitted
