british gas programmer info please

Hi moved house and we have a gravity system with a worseter boiler and a british gas electro mechanical programmer emp2 drayton sm2. The button sliders are not working properly and i bit broken off in center, my question is do have to replace with this one or could i get a digital remote one or even a smart one ? and who would i call for this ,british gas,electrician or plumber or can i do it myself ? thank you in advance

Drayton digital will be a direct replacement,power off two screws under the clock it pull out from bottom then up.
