British Ski Workers can piste off

Up here in Scotland, where a lot of English skiers [appear] to enjoy themselves on the slopes the Cairngorm Ski Company have made hundreds of tons of artificial snow to get ready for the influx of English tourist skiers.

It is a problem lack of snow, but that is one of the spin offs of global warming, at least we are trying to provide a good substitute for all the English who come up here to Ski ?

Sterling Euro Exchange rate perhaps.
Nevermind, Scotland may become part of the Eurozone after independence.

What do I want from Brexit?

Whatever happens, if we remain or if we leave, I hope all you children that have been bickering for the past 3 years will learn to play happily together again.
Until Brexit reared it's head GD was a good, friendly, banter full forum. These past 3 years or so have been like listening to a kindergarten playground squabble over who's ball it is.

But I won't hold my breath because whatever happens one side is not going to be happy and it will drag on again for years and years.
Que sera sera.

The UK is irrevocably divided...

And as such for an indefinite period the real problems facing this country won't be tackled...

The ruling class of course are quite happy with this - it's called divide and rule and has been used throughout history!

What is interesting though is that before Camoron called the referendum in order to save his political career, I don't recall anyone but garbage and self serving tories clamouring for getting out of the EU...

Was it the main political talking point?

Of course not!

The Brexit gift that keeps giving.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/dec/11/brexit-hits-uk-ski-and-holiday-staff-overseas

A third of UK seasonal jobs in ski resorts and summer activity holidays have disappeared because of fears over Brexit, research shows.

Many are looking at closing down, he says, threatening a £16bn contribution to Britain’s economy, £1bn of which goes directly to the Exchequer in tax receipts.

Dan Fox, the managing director of Ski Weekends, said the EU had “brought us the most incredible benefits of freedom of movement of our staff, transport and resources”, and holidaymakers had benefited because of the explosion in small companies able to offer a diverse range of holidays.

what has beenthe cost to the NHS over the years for all these piste eads travelling back to the UK with broken legs , arms and other injurys caused by going on the piste :?:

Hardly fck all I would imagine. Unlike tourists that come over here, most Brits that go skiing in another country take out health insurance cover.
