Hi, I have recently had the main unit of my Britony II.T HP boiler replaced. The water temp from the new unit is fine, better than before in fact, however it takes about 1 min for the burniers to ignite after turning of the hot tap / shower. The old unit was more or less instant!

Advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

John.

Thanks for the reply dave. The new unit is brand new so would this be something that the fitter may have done and is it easy / inexpensive to detect / repair?

Cheers,

John

multipoint should come on instantly, majority have a thing called a slow ignition device to stop it coming on with a bang, this may need adjusting.
But as its under g`tee ask the guy back or get manufacturers out

Some of those replies have assumed that when you say "main unit" you mean the water/gas valve right in the centre.

But you could also mean the heat exchanger!

Which was it?

Tony
