BT line into house - external cover needed - BT no help

Hi there

I am a newbie but am really hopine someone might be able to help or point me in the right direction.

I have a newbuild house which is a few years old. The developer has since gone bust.

The phone line comes into the house via a hole in the wall on the front exterior of the house.

All of the other houses have a grey, elongated plastic cover over theirs to protect it before it enters the house. But my house doesn't - we just have a black cable running up fro the soil to the hole in the wall. I have contacted BT regarding getting one fitted but they just don't want to know.

I wonder if anyone knows if this type of thing is available elsewhere.

I am really really keeping my fingers crossed.

those grey covers are ugly! Why not try something like this as it only has to cover a small cable

Tell them you never had one, and they may supply for free.

IT would not cost too much anyway I guess.

Ring up and tell them your cover is missing/hanging off,it will be reported as as a damage report and they should fit one for free.The ug cable should be protected and not exposed.
