Hi all

Can anyone recommend a decent cable detector? I know you can get them for a tenner from b & q but I don't rate them. Had one and it died - also gave faulty readings. Thanks

I don't know of any reliable cable/pipe/stud detectors that are available for the occasional use market. In my experience you need to be spending upwards of £500 to get anything decent.

The Bosch D-tect 100 Wallscanner would do it.

But, the cheapest and most reliable method is caution!
