Cable Identification Machines

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a cheap(ish) machine to make cable markers? Not sticky lable type though, more something like this: http://www.expresselectrical.co.uk/part.asp?Part=PP-PM07507

Sticky labels and written ones don't seem to last in the wet environment that they are needed in, and Critchley K-Type markers seem too much hassle for some people here!

So ideally would like an engraver, embossing machine, or something along those lines?

A CO2 laser will not come cheap, but you could try making your own

There are lots of thermal systems for marking plastic markers eg

For small runs you could use blank stainless steel tags and hand emboss them with letter punches.
