I want to move a cooker box and a couple of 13amp sockets about 20cm from the original locations. The cables are running in a safe zone in plaster wall and the cables are too short and have no slack. I do not want to rip out the cables back to the fuse box so what is the safest way to make a joint in the cables. :?:

For TE cable 1.5, 2.5 and 4 mm you can use crimps with a ratchet type crimper. Then use self amalgamating tape to provide a sheath for protection. This is a permanent joint and can be buried in the plaster.

For 6.0mm ++ your have to provide an accessible junction box and renew cable between JB and final termination point.
