Any thoughts on protecting this short loop of cable before it disappears behind the fascia? Something not too obvious, perhaps, and not a rain trap. Is anything actually needed?
Of course, I could mount the camera below the fascia, with the fixing plate the other way up and the cable entry hard against the fascia, but this was an experiment for a new position. And it's there now...
I have a camera hood on order - one of the helmet-shaped ones - but that's mainly to keep direct sun & rain off the camera.
The power connection barrel and BNC connector are tucked in behind the fascia (hence the currently messy gap - there was just enough flex). I was thinking of ordinary or two-layer heatshrink sleeving for those, again only if needed.
