Can a heat pump dryer be installed on carpet?

Can a HP tumble dryer be installed in a carpeted room or is it hard floor only as with vented and condensers?

I don't know the answer but could you not put it on top of 10mm 600*600mm porcelain tile?

Ask a maker's technical advice. Or read the installation manuals for some... they are available online frequently enough.

HP dryers are heavy. Very heavy; and will point load under the dryer's feet, crushing any carpet and underlay.

My Miele manual has this warning

Do not block the gap between the bottom of the tumble dryer and the floor with plinth facings, deep pile carpet etc. This would hinder a sufficient flow of air to the tumble dryer.

so some form of support under the dryer feet would seem sensible on top of the carpet to maintain a gap.

My HP is heavier than my previous vented dryer.
