hi, i have no idea what im doing on here but can anyone help please?

i have a prepaid gas meter, i have just tryed to put my emergency gas on but its says battery fail , what does this mean as i am freezing my butt off and have four kids two of which are diasbled , i am panicking coz british gas dont answer phones on a sunday and it is freeaxing here ( i live next to the sea ) please can anyone help thank u .

Sorry I have no idea how to resolve your problem, but have you tried the gas emergency number 0800 111 999 which is manned 24/7 perhaps they can help.

Thanks very much, it means the whole meter needs to be replaced , engineer on his way now , thanks very much
