errm - just a thought -how about checking your insurance policy!
PS usually damage resulting from DIY is excluded from most policies

Unfortunatly the paperwork is held by my landlord as I am a leaseholder and hes away for a few weeks. The insurance is with Norwich Union. I just want to get on and do it.
