Can I have a wood burner if my boilers flue uses the chimney?

Hi currently having renovation work in my house. Am thinking about getting a wood burner or simply just opening up the old fireplace. My boilers flue goes into the chimney. I can't see where it goes but my surveyor said it does. Does this rule out the possibility of having a log burner? Do they have separate flues?

Also. I am currently getting rid of loads of rubble through the hole into my chimney breast but can't reach any more any tips on how to get it out? Why is it filled with rubble? There's bits of wood bricks all sorts!

There should be enough room in the chimney for each to have a separate flue
