Can I seal a small gap between two bits of felt myself?

Hi all

We had a flat roof recovered about a year ago, and it's now evident that there is a small gap between two of the pieces of felt (see picture). We've had no luck with getting the roofing company to come back and fix it. Is there any way I can seal the gap myself?

Many thanks for any help with this.

Regards

Gareth

Not a daft question! There is a leak, but we don't know where it's coming from exactly - this is one of the possible culprits.

Try a tube of lead/gutter sealant first if its the join.

Slightly open the joint up, then run the sealant between and press back down, smooth of with wet finger.
