Can I use normal PB in bathroom

I'm putting MR board on the wall at the bath and shower area, but is it okay to use standard plasterboard for the rest of the bathroom where there will be no direct water contact?

If it's okay, what do I need to prime the normal plasterboard with before tiling? I am fixing to wall via dot and dab, and the board will be 12.5mm tapered edge.

Steam get's around, you know. If it were me, I'd be putting aquapanel around wet areas and MR (square edge) around the rest.

Depends how long you want it all to last I suppose.
