Hi,

Can I use 100mm s/steel screws for one 8' x 4' insulated plasterboard (60mm+12.5mm) instead of drywall screws. It's just that I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on 500 screws for the sake of using 20 odd, when I have s/steel ones spare.

Many thanks in advance.

No problem . Did you know that drywalls use phillips heads and normal screws are pozi. I just found that out

You know what, I don't know much but that I did know. Think you can get Phillips head on woodscrews also, not sure on that tho.

Stainless steel screws are as soft as cheddar.....pre dril or swear a lot.

I'm genuinely surprised Torx heads aren't more prevalent, philips and pozidrive are a poor 2nd most of the time.

Also how many times do you see people driving a pozidrive screw with a philips bit, even on the TV..
