I run on 195/55/R16 wheels the moment with that gung for punctures etc but just be given a 185/70/R14 so is it safe and legal to put this in the boot and use as a temporary wheel to get the OH home in a emergency. Thanks

More importantly will the rim clear the brake disc, caliper or drum and is the rims 'Pitch Circle Diameter' & offset the same
The 185 is 6mm bigger in diameter (3mm each side) so seems likely. All assuming it's the right wheel for the car as above.

As far as legality goes, was that tyre/wheel size ever homologated on that vehicle ?
The wheel came from a earlier model of the same car but was used as a spare on 15 rims so look like all's well then Thanks
