Contemplating putting artificial grass down, and wondered if the groundworks involved (membrane, sand etc) would prevent mushrooms from penetrating the grass?

Our current lawn, put down nearly 2 years ago, suffered heavy mushroom growth last year, presumably due to decaying roots from a nearby felled tree, and other trees/plants that were removed from our garden prior to turfing.

When our new lawn was laid, it was put down on top of approx 6" of topsoil which sat on top of a weed membrane. So when the turf is removed, there should be a couple of inches of compacted sand on top of the topsoil, then another membrane, then the plastic grass.

Could this suppress mushroom growth, or are we doomed to be shroomed?
