Can you add an electronic or magnetic in-line descaler to an electrolytic one?

I live in an especially hard water area, (Basingstoke).

I have just installed a new Hot Water and Central Heat system.

I asked to be fitted a Fernox electrolytic descaler to my water supply.

I am also aware of magnetic descaler units and mains powered magnetic field/electronic descalers.

Is there anything to be gained by adding either a magnetic or electronic descaler or would they counteract each other?

I live/work in a area where the water is described as aggressively hard.
In 50 years of long and sometimes bitter experience the only thing I've seen that works is a proper water softner.
Yes you need to fill it with salt but I reckon on balance its probably cost neutral when it's up and running.
Less soap/detergent/softener no need for salt in dishwasher . Clothes feel softer and no hard water damage to taps - fill valves ect.
