Can you extend this up?

Hi,

My partner and I are considering buying this house. It has an extension on the ground floor but we wanted to know if we could partially extend this up, to increase the size of bedroom 2 so that it goes all the way out to the staircase area. This would be so we could install an ensuite and have a bigger master.

This is probably a case of "it depends" but I'm just looking for your rough thoughts. To the right is a road and foot path. No other houses on that side at all.

Depends on planning. Might need to step the front in a bit on the first floor if it isn’t already stepped back from the main front elevation.
If foundations aren’t deep enough it’d be a bigger job. But chances are they probably are all dug out the same depth
