Hi there,

My PUMA 80 is on its last legs and I'm condsidering replacing it with a condensing boiler.

I've been quoted £1450 for fitting a Vaillant Ecomax 828e, which also incudes flushing out of heating system, diverting my flu and dosing system with a chemical chorosion inhibitor.

Is this fait price and is the Vaillant boiler a good bet? Really want to get a reliable model, as I@ve had countless probs with the Puma. Many people have said 'Buy German', i.e. a Bosch Worcester or something.

Are they right?

Thanks for any help.

The 828e is a good boiler but quite pricey compared to Worcester Bosch. WB have excellent after sales service.

£1450 doesn't sound excessive for the Vaillant installed.
