I've had a Candy 1300 DBQ 131 for just over two years and recently it's started to stop midway through a washing cycle. When this does happen, it tends to just stop after the initial wash cycle and doesn't start the rinse cycle. Any ideas?

are you sure its initail wash? or does it fill tumble a bit then stop? if this is the case it sounds like your heater

I'm pretty sure it's just before the rinse stage but I don't know if it's the heater because when I touch the door after the machine has stopped, it's hot.

I don't know the workings of the Candy model but if a cycle stops then it means that the machine is waiting for something to happen. As Breezer said it could be waiting to heat up (heater or thermostat?) or possibly for some more water to go into the machine (one of the inlet valves not working).

If everything works after this point (i.e. by turning the selctor forward (NB switch OFF first!)) then I would think it would be one of these things.
