Canon chester gas oven

Hi, I have a problem with my canon oven.
After my wife cleaned it the igniters spark constantly,
the button is not stuck as when i push this in it makes the
spark rate increase.
I have left it powered down for a while but this does not solve the fault as I beleived it was a timer fault but this has niot cured it.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

a guess says gas jets blocked (maybe) or electrode for ignito is shorting because of cleaning agent (likely)
